ASHLEY ROBERTS STILL HOPES FOR A PUSSYCAT DOLLS REUNION

Ashley Roberts, best known as one of the original Pussycat Dolls, remains hopeful that the iconic girl group will reunite, despite the years of silence and cancelled plans. Though the group disbanded in 2010, Roberts has repeatedly echoed that the door is not closed, and she still holds out hope for a full reunion.

Roberts has made it clear that there is no active reunion in the works right now, but she refuses to rule out the possibility entirely. In conversations with Digital Spy and Heat magazine, she said she hasn’t been approached about new tour plans and explained that each member is currently focused on her own path. Still, Roberts confidently stated, “never say never. I love the girls to pieces and who knows what the future holds.”

Much of the attention around the Dolls’ future stems from a brief but high-profile reunion in 2019. Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, and Carmit Bachar reunited to release the single React and performed on The X Factor: Celebrity, with a planned world tour that never materialised due to COVID-19. Melody Thornton opted out of the reunion, and without her participation, the scheduled arena dates across the UK and Europe were eventually cancelled in early 2022.

Despite the disappointment, Roberts has consistently expressed a longing for the group’s return. She has often described temporarily reuniting as an emotional experience, reconnecting with members she’s been friends with for over 20 years, especially Kimberly Wyatt, whom she considers her closest comrade. Their bond, Roberts said, goes back even before the Dolls were formed.

Roberts’ optimism about a reunion is tempered by realism: each former member is pursuing solo careers and media work. Nicole Scherzinger, as the group's longtime lead singer, continues her work in television and music; others are focused on solo projects and presenting gigs. Ashley herself has become a fixture in UK television, serving as a presenter on fan-favourite shows such as Dancing on Ice and Dance Monsters, as well as hosting on Heart radio.

The emotional toll of being part of such a demanding pop machine hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Recent reflections by Roberts acknowledge that her time with the Dolls took a toll, dealing with stress, burnout, and personal struggles. Since then, she has pivoted toward mental health advocacy, breathwork, and sharing her own story through her book Breathwork. Despite everything, her affection for her former group remains undiminished.

Fans, many of whom grew up with hits like Don’t Cha, Buttons, and When I Grow Up, continue to pit hopeful comments online whenever reunion rumours surface. Roberts herself told Metro back in 2019 that she was sending out “positive vibes” and to keep “fingers crossed” that the group would take the stage together again one day.

With 2025 marking over a decade since the Dolls first disbanded, Roberts’ message has remained consistent: she misses the group, treasures the memories, and is open to coming back, as long as the intention is right and all members are onboard. Until that day comes, she’s content building her solo career, nurturing friendships, and keeping the possibility alive in her heart.
