BEN COHEN SIGNS UP FOR CELEBRITY SAS: WHO DARES WINS

Ben Cohen is the latest star to sign up for the gruelling new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and fans are already backing him to go far.

The former England rugby star, who helped his country win the Rugby World Cup in 2003, will now swap the pitch for the punishing Scottish Highlands, where he’ll be put through his paces in the military-style reality show.

But Ben’s no stranger to reality TV. Many will remember his stint on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2013, where he was partnered with professional dancer Kristina Rihanoff. The pair later became a couple and now share a daughter together.

A TV insider told The Sun:

“Ben is obviously a sportsman and a very physical, competitive player so if anyone can handle the SAS recruitment process, it’s him. Producers are expecting big things from him in the challenges.”

Since Strictly, Ben has appeared on a string of reality formats. In 2016, he won Channel 4’s winter sports show The Jump, beating Superman actor Dean Cain in the final. That same year, he popped up on The Celebrity Chase, and went on to support good causes by appearing in And They’re Off! for Sport Relief in 2018 and The Real Full Monty in 2023, raising awareness around cancer.

Ben’s inclusion in the SAS lineup adds more star power to an already anticipated series. Known for his resilience and team spirit on the rugby field, viewers are eager to see how he copes with extreme mental and physical tests under the watchful eye of Chief Instructor Mark “Billy” Billingham and his team of former Special Forces operatives.

The full Celebrity SAS cast list has yet to be officially announced, but filming is believed to be complete. The series is expected to air later this year on Channel 4.

Whether he’s dodging bullets, plunging into freezing water, or crawling through the mud, one thing’s for sure, Ben Cohen doesn’t back down from a challenge.
