Beyoncé Tells Mum Tina Knowles to “Stop Posting So Much” About Family Online

Even global superstars have to deal with parents oversharing online, and Beyoncé is no exception.

Her mother, Tina Knowles, has revealed that the Break My Soul singer occasionally calls her out for posting too much about their family life on social media. Appearing on Kate and Oliver Hudson’s Sibling Revelry podcast, Tina gave a rare and heartfelt insight into the dynamics of the Knowles-Carter household, and how her excitement as a proud mum and grandmother sometimes clashes with Beyoncé’s desire for privacy.

Tina, 70, is known for being her daughters’ biggest cheerleader, often posting clips, throwbacks, and behind-the-scenes photos of Beyoncé and Solange. But even proud mums can take things a step too far.

“I’m the biggest cheerleader,” Tina admitted. “I post 25 videos, and then I get a call, and Beyoncé will be like, ‘Mama, can you not post so much? Like c’mon now, when are you ever going to stop posting? You’re doing too much.’”

Her comments sparked laughter from the hosts, but the moment also offered a relatable reminder that family boundaries exist, even when your daughter is one of the most famous women on the planet.

A Family Affair on Stage

Tina spoke warmly about watching her granddaughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter join their mother on stage during recent dates of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, a rare moment of family spotlight in what is usually a tightly controlled public image.

“I never want to be jaded about it or take it for granted,” Tina said, reflecting on those moments. “It’s still really exciting for me. I just think about how blessed we are to be passionate about something and for it to come to life like that. I mean, I don’t take it for granted. Ever.”

It’s not the first time Tina’s proud posts have gone viral. Her backstage photos of Blue Ivy during the Renaissance World Tour drew widespread praise from fans who adored seeing the young star shine beside her mum. But Beyoncé has always been careful to maintain a certain level of privacy, even while her fame continues to dominate the global stage.

A Balancing Act Between Family and Fame

Fans online were quick to rally behind Tina, with many calling her the ultimate “mum fan account” and praising her for being so genuine.

One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote: “Tina Knowles is just like every mum out there – taking 100 pictures and posting 99 of them. Beyoncé better let her live!”

Another joked: “Beyoncé telling her mum to chill on the posting? That’s the most relatable thing she’s ever done.”

While Queen Bey might prefer to keep things low-key, it’s clear her family, and especially her mum, are still front and centre in her life.

And as Tina herself says, who wouldn’t be excited to celebrate such milestones?
