Britain’s Got Talent Hit with Ofcom Complaints After Shocking Semi-Final

Britain’s Got Talent has once again found itself at the centre of controversy, with Ofcom receiving a wave of complaints following a shocking semi-final performance. The latest incident involved daring performer Bao Cuong, whose extreme act left both judges and viewers feeling uneasy.

During his performance, Bao Cuong stunned the audience by pulling a motorbike carrying presenters Ant and Dec using only his eyelids. The dangerous stunt led to a mix of gasps and shocked expressions from the judges, but not everyone was impressed.

According to The Mirror, the episode featuring Bao Cuong’s act attracted 65 complaints to Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. Many of these complaints specifically targeted the extreme nature of his performance, with some viewers describing it as "horrific to watch."

This is not the first time Britain’s Got Talent has come under fire for controversial performances. Just last month, the show was hit with complaints over another disturbing act, featuring Auzzy Blood, whose "repulsive" routine during the live semi-finals on April 27 also drew backlash from viewers.

Britain’s Got Talent has built a reputation for showcasing a wide range of talents, from singers and dancers to daredevils and illusionists. However, the show has also been no stranger to controversy, with some acts pushing the boundaries of what viewers find acceptable for family television.

Neither ITV nor Britain’s Got Talent have yet commented on the latest complaints.

As the series continues, fans will be watching to see how the show balances its commitment to showcasing unique talents while ensuring performances remain suitable for a wide audience.
