Camila Cabello proved she knows how to let her hair down after a show-stopping performance in Dublin on Saturday night, by hitting a local pub and partying into the early hours with a pint of Guinness in each hand.
The 27-year-old pop sensation, currently on the European leg of her tour, surprised locals as she celebrated the end of the run at J.R. Mahon’s Public House & Brewery, just off Dublin’s buzzing city centre.
After dazzling thousands of fans at the 3Arena earlier in the evening, Camila swapped the stage lights for a cozy pub vibe, and didn’t shy away from embracing Irish tradition.
The Señorita hitmaker shared a string of candid pictures on Instagram from the night out, including one hilarious snap of her crouched down on the dance floor, clutching two pints of Guinness, surrounded by friends and fans.
In her caption, Camila gushed:
"Dublin how could we ever forget you you legends!!!!! Ireland is one of my favourite places in the world - so many of my favourite authors poets films came from here. Not to mention this was the best night ever, we had to split the G and celebrate the end of the Euro leg."
Her nod to the famous Irish drinking tradition of “splitting the G”, drinking a Guinness just to the halfway mark on the harp logo, delighted her Irish fans, many of whom flooded her comments to welcome her back anytime.
One follower wrote: “This is how you do Dublin properly, you’re one of us now Camila!” while another joked: “Crouched on the floor with two pints is the most Irish thing I’ve seen a celeb do here.”
For her big night out, Camila kept things effortlessly stylish in a grey oversized cardigan, a chic black mini skirt and boots, keeping a low-key vibe while making memories.
Eyewitnesses at the pub said Camila was happy to pose for photos with fellow punters and even joined in on a singalong when a trad band started playing mid-evening.
“She was just so chilled and down-to-earth,” one local told us. “It was surreal seeing her just sitting at the bar like anyone else, drinking Guinness and laughing with her friends. She even spilled some on the floor at one point and just laughed it off!”
Camila’s love for Irish culture has been no secret, in previous interviews she’s cited Irish writers and films as among her favourites, but her latest night out will have cemented her status as an honorary Dubliner.
Her tour now moves on to North America, but after this weekend, Dublin is sure to have a special place in her heart, and her fans’ hearts too.
