Former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt has sensationally quit Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, on the very first day of filming, according to new reports.
The singer and actress, 43, was due to appear in the upcoming series of the hit Channel 4 reality show, set to air this October. But viewers expecting to see the pop star endure the full brutal course will be disappointed, as insiders say she bowed out after just a few hours in the Costa Rican jungle.
Sources told the Daily Mail that Hannah struggled with the intense physical and mental challenges from the moment she arrived, and ultimately made the decision to leave by the end of the first day’s tasks.
“Hannah truly believed that a stint on one of the hardest and most gruelling shows could turn things around for her,” a source close to the show revealed.
“But she found it far tougher than she ever expected and made the decision to walk.”
She had been lined up to compete in the same series as Strictly Come Dancing’s Tasha Ghouri, Love Island personality Chloe Burrows, and X-Factor singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan. The show, known for pushing celebrities to their physical and emotional limits in military-style tasks, has a reputation for breaking even the toughest of contestants.

The news comes amid a period of personal and professional change for Spearritt. Last year, she made headlines when she opted out of S Club's reunion tour following the sudden death of bandmate Paul Cattermole. Rumours have swirled since that the fallout affected her relationship with the other surviving members of the iconic pop group.
“She no longer speaks to her bandmates,” the insider continued. “And has now completely shut herself off from that world.”
Hannah had reportedly hoped that appearing on Celebrity SAS could signal a new chapter in her career, a chance to reintroduce herself to the public in a bold, brave light. But despite her intentions, the demands of the course proved too much.
Fans of the show can expect to see Spearritt’s short-lived appearance when the new season airs this autumn. It's expected her early departure will be a prominent feature of the first episode, as the show doesn’t shy away from showing the toughest moments, including those who quit.
