Jack P. Shepherd has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner Hanni Treweek, in a heartfelt ceremony held at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday, a fitting location for a star so closely associated with the heart of Northern television.
The Coronation Street actor, best known for his decades-long portrayal of David Platt on the ITV soap, was surrounded by close friends, family, and several of his Corrie co-stars as he said "I do" to Hanni, who once worked on the show as a storyline writer and researcher.
The pair, who have been together for several years, are said to be over the moon. Hanni looked radiant in an elegant white gown, while Jack beamed in a classic suit as they exited the historic cathedral to cheers from guests and onlookers.
The wedding comes just months after Jack was crowned winner of Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. At the time, he revealed that one of the reasons he agreed to take part in the reality show was to help fund the wedding.
“I did Big Brother for the wedding fund,” Jack admitted in a previous interview. “It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and it gave us the chance to make the day truly special.”
And special it was. Guests at the wedding included many familiar faces from the Corrie cobbles, with castmate Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, David’s on-screen sister, turning heads with her own surprise: arriving hand-in-hand with her new partner, marking the first public appearance of the couple.
Fans were thrilled to see such a strong show of camaraderie among the cast, with many praising the “Corrie family” for coming out in support of their long-time colleague.

Photos from the day have already started circulating online, showing Jack and Hanni looking blissfully happy, and castmates enjoying the reception, which was held at a nearby private venue. According to insiders, the couple pulled out all the stops, with live music, fine dining, and heartfelt speeches that left many in tears.
The couple’s love story began behind the scenes at Coronation Street, where Hanni worked in the script and story department. They went public with their relationship in 2017 and have since become a favourite among soap fans, often sharing glimpses of their life together on social media.
As the dust settles from a star-studded celebration, fans of the soap and beyond are sending their congratulations to the happy couple, and hoping for more photos of the big day to emerge in the coming days.
