Dua Lipa is once again teaming up with legendary producer Mark Ronson, with insiders suggesting the pair have been back in the studio creating fresh tracks that could form part of her next album.
The Levitating singer, 29, has been busy promoting her latest record Radical Optimism, but it appears she is already looking to the future, with sources hinting that her blossoming romance with actor Callum Turner has played a major role in shaping her new music.
According to The Sun, Dua has been “influenced by finally finding The One” and is drawing on her personal life in her songwriting more than ever before. The source explained: “It’s early days for Dua’s album, so no one’s certain how much of the music they’ve worked on will be on the final record, or if it will be used elsewhere. But there are some exciting tracks and there’s a good feeling about what they’ve made so far.”
Ronson, who previously worked with Dua on the smash-hit Dance The Night from the Barbie soundtrack, has spoken warmly about their sessions this year. Reflecting on one emotional moment in the studio, he recalled: “We’ve been making music together for eight years now and she was singing this song. It’s a beautiful lyric about her relationship. And I just said to her, ‘I know this sounds really corny, I feel like I’m watching you now as a woman deliver these new songs and this vocal.’ Who she’s become now, this is a new era for her as a songwriter and as a singer and as a human.”
Fans will be thrilled to hear that Dua and Ronson’s creative chemistry is still going strong. Their previous collaborations have delivered some of her most memorable tracks, and with Ronson’s track record of working with music heavyweights from Amy Winehouse to Lady Gaga, expectations for their latest work are already sky-high.
