Dance legend Fatboy Slim has confirmed he will return to Brighton Beach for three massive live shows in the summer of 2026, marking over 20 years since his iconic Big Beach Boutique event drew an unforgettable quarter of a million fans to the seaside.
The superstar DJ and producer, whose real name is Norman Cook, announced the news today, revealing that he’ll perform on July 17, 18 and 19, 2026, as part of his Big Beach Boutique 7 event. Tickets for the shows will go on sale at 10am on November 7.
In a statement, Fatboy Slim promised that the trio of shows will be packed “from start to finish with music, hijinks and joy, spanning from the early afternoon well into the night.”
It’s a full-circle moment for the Brighton-born DJ, who became a global dance music icon in the late ’90s and early 2000s with hits like Praise You, Right Here, Right Now, and Weapon of Choice. His original Big Beach Boutique shows cemented his reputation not only as a hitmaker but as one of the UK’s most beloved live performers.
The 2002 show, now music folklore, saw over 250,000 people descend on Brighton Beach for what was initially expected to be a small local event. The crowd, more than four times larger than expected, made headlines around the world, and turned Fatboy Slim’s homecoming set into one of the most legendary moments in dance music history.
Speaking about the upcoming shows, Cook said in a recent interview:
“Brighton has always been at the heart of everything I do, it’s my home, my inspiration, and where it all began. Those Big Beach gigs were pure magic, and I can’t wait to bring that energy back to the beach once again.”
Since the early 2000s, Fatboy Slim has continued to tour globally, headline major festivals, and deliver high-energy DJ sets known for their mix of house, funk, and big beat anthems. His shows are as much about the atmosphere as the music, often combining dazzling visuals, crowd participation, and a sense of unfiltered joy that has become his trademark.
The new Big Beach Boutique 7 events are expected to feature a mix of classic hits, fresh remixes, and surprise guests, with organisers promising an all-day beach party vibe. Given his previous shows’ scale, fans are already predicting these could be some of the biggest UK dance events of the decade.
Local officials in Brighton are said to be working closely with event organisers to ensure the festival runs smoothly, with lessons learned from the 2002 chaos when roads were gridlocked and supplies ran dry across the city.
For fans of electronic music, this return is more than just a concert, it’s a homecoming. Two decades on, Fatboy Slim remains one of Britain’s most charismatic and enduring performers, and his Brighton Beach comeback is shaping up to be one of the must-see events of 2026.
