Reality TV icon Gemma Collins has revealed she’s battling a serious case of pneumonia, leaving her physically drained but determined to keep going.
The former TOWIE star took to Instagram yesterday to update her fans on her health, explaining that she’s been ill for three weeks and has only recently discovered the full extent of her condition.
In a candid post, Gemma wrote:
"Hey guys sorry been quiet, I have pneumonia. I’m not as fast or on it as I usually am on the daily. I am still honouring my work commitments which is taking every bit of energy I have, but will be back entertaining you all soon."
Known for her vibrant personality and larger-than-life presence, the 43-year-old reality star’s post came as a surprise to many followers, who were unaware she had been battling illness in recent weeks.
Sharing further insight via her Instagram Story, Gemma posted a clip showing herself on a drip, with a doctor making a home visit, emphasising the seriousness of her condition.
Fans flooded her comments with well wishes and support, praising her for continuing to meet professional obligations despite her health struggles. Many encouraged her to take a proper break to rest and recover.

While Gemma hasn’t confirmed the exact cause of her pneumonia or whether she required hospitalisation, her update makes it clear the illness has taken a significant toll.
