ITV has officially announced that I’m A Celebrity… South Africa will return in 2026, following the success of its debut season in 2023. The spin-off, which brings back some of the most iconic campmates from the show’s history, is set to raise the stakes even higher with brand-new twists and, for the first time ever, a live public vote to crown the winner.
Fans of the series can expect a fresh line-up of returning stars ready to face the challenges of the South African wilderness. Unlike the traditional Australian jungle version, this spin-off format takes place in rugged landscapes with even harsher conditions, making survival tougher than ever. The 2023 series saw unforgettable trials and fierce competition, and ITV bosses have promised that the next instalment will be even bigger.
The beloved hosting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again be at the helm, guiding audiences through the highs, lows and shocking twists the show is famous for. Ant teased the exciting return, saying: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape.”
Dec echoed his co-host’s enthusiasm, highlighting one of the biggest changes: a live finale. He explained: “Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb standards!”
The introduction of a live public vote means viewers will have a direct say in who takes home the title of I’m A Celeb Legend, adding a new layer of excitement and unpredictability. For a show that thrives on audience participation, this move is expected to make the 2026 series must-watch television.
The first edition of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa was praised for its fresh energy and nostalgic appeal, as fan-favourite campmates like Carol Vorderman, Joe Swash and Jordan Banjo made dramatic returns to the format. The idea of seeing returning contestants face new trials proved to be a hit with audiences, pulling in millions of viewers across the UK.
With ITV confirming that the next run will push contestants further than ever, fans are already speculating which famous faces could make a comeback. From former jungle kings and queens to campmates who fell short of the crown, the potential line-up is packed with possibilities.
As anticipation builds, one thing is certain: I’m A Celebrity… South Africa is set to deliver drama, daring trials, and plenty of unforgettable TV moments when it returns in 2026.
