ITV is pulling the plug on ITVBe as it makes way for a brand new channel entirely dedicated to Britain’s best-loved game shows and quiz formats.
Launching in June, the new channel, aptly named ITV Quiz, will showcase round-the-clock episodes of fan favourites including The Chase, Tipping Point, Deal or No Deal, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Viewers can also expect smash hits like The 1% Club to become part of the new schedule, offering a non-stop stream of high-stakes questions, tense moments, and cash-winning drama.
The move marks a major shake-up in ITV’s digital strategy, signalling a shift away from the reality-heavy focus of ITVBe, which has been home to iconic unscripted series such as The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) and the UK versions of The Real Housewives franchise.

While ITVBe fans may mourn the loss of the channel, ITV has confirmed that those reality favourites aren’t going anywhere, they’ll now move over to ITV2, which already has a strong youth entertainment audience and is home to the ratings juggernaut Love Island. This programming consolidation aims to streamline the network’s offerings while giving loyal reality TV viewers a familiar home for their favourite shows

An ITV spokesperson said the channel revamp reflects changing viewer habits and the rising demand for “comfort TV”, with game shows proving hugely popular among UK audiences looking for entertainment they can dip in and out of at any time.
The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh, and Tipping Point, fronted by Ben Shephard, consistently draw millions of viewers during daytime and early evening slots. The 1% Club, hosted by Lee Mack, has also become a breakout hit, earning critical praise for its clever format and humour.
ITV Quiz will become a one-stop shop for fans of general knowledge, logic puzzles, and high-pressure showdowns, offering bingeable content that’s perfect for background viewing or all-in marathons. It will be available via Freeview, Sky, and ITVX.

While ITVBe bows out after more than a decade on air, ITV is betting big that quizzing and game shows will be the next big draw. And judging by the UK’s ongoing obsession with trivia and tension, it just might be a winning move.
