This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has revealed she’s currently living in a caravan, despite previously buying her million-pound dream home, as she embarks on a brand-new chapter that’s being captured for an upcoming ITV series.
The popular TV star made the surprise admission during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, while promoting her new show Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build, which will follow her emotional, chaotic, and at times hilarious journey to construct her ultimate countryside escape.
Host Ranvir Singh initially praised Josie for her success story, rising from humble beginnings in a caravan to earning millions and buying her own luxury property. But Josie quickly interjected with a surprising twist: she’s back in the caravan once again.
“I’ve actually roped the family in,” she laughed. “They say never to work with family or animals, and I’ve done just that. To say my stress levels are up here…”
The upcoming documentary-style series sees Josie team up with her brothers, Charlie and Josh, and her cousin Tom, along with a crew of local builders, as they attempt to turn a plot of land into a countryside dream home, with plenty of ups and downs along the way.
And it hasn’t been smooth sailing. Josie admitted the process has been full of late nights, stress, and unexpected challenges.
“I’ve had a lot of sleepless nights,” she confessed.
“Sometimes, you get this great big dream and you follow your dreams, but you don’t realise, with those dreams, there could be quite a lot of hurdles.”
While fans are used to seeing Josie as the bubbly, upbeat face of This Morning, the new series is set to show a very different side to the star, juggling project management, family disagreements, and the emotional toll of pursuing a dream in the public eye.
A return to her roots
Josie first found fame after winning Big Brother in 2010 and has since become one of ITV’s most beloved daytime presenters. Her move into property development marks a significant personal milestone, and she’s bringing viewers along for every nail, wobble, and teacup break.
Although the exact air date has yet to be confirmed, Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build is expected to premiere on ITV in 2026, once the renovations are complete.
Until then, Josie remains in her trusty caravan, proving once again that she’s as down-to-earth and relatable as ever, even when building a million-pound dream.
