Justin Bieber Shuts Down “Broke” Rumours: “This Is Just Clickbait Stupidity”

Justin Bieber has hit back at fresh claims that he’s facing financial trouble, dismissing reports that he’s “broke” as nothing more than sensationalist nonsense. The pop star, 30, addressed the rumours through a sharply worded statement released by his team, firmly denying allegations that he’s in debt following the cancellation of his Justice World Tour.

The backlash comes after The Hollywood Reporter published an article on Wednesday citing a supposed former member of Bieber’s team, who claimed the singer was “millions of dollars in debt” after pulling the plug on his tour. The insider suggested that multiple postponements, primarily due to Bieber’s health challenges, had left him financially vulnerable.

But according to Bieber’s current reps, the story couldn’t be further from the truth.

“This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed, and clearly ill-informed  ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,” the statement read, as published by Us Weekly. The reps went on to call the report not only false, but rooted in bitterness from individuals no longer involved in the singer’s career.

Bieber, who has been largely out of the spotlight in recent months, cancelled the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour in 2023 after opening up about his struggle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused partial facial paralysis. The tour had already seen several delays and rescheduling’s before it was ultimately shelved for good.

While some critics speculated that the mounting cancellations had taken a financial toll, Bieber’s team insists the singer remains in a stable and successful place both professionally and financially. In fact, his business ventures, including a lucrative music catalogue deal reportedly worth over $200 million, speak for themselves.

Despite taking a step back from touring, Bieber has continued to work behind the scenes and make selective appearances. Earlier this year, he performed a surprise set at the pre-wedding celebrations of Indian billionaire heir Anant Ambani, sparking rumours of a slow but intentional return to the music scene.

For now, it seems Bieber is more focused on his health and long-term career strategy than on chasing headlines, and he’s making it clear that he won’t let false reports define his narrative.

With a fiercely loyal fanbase and one of the best-selling music catalogues of the last decade, Justin Bieber’s legacy remains firmly intact, rumours or not.
