Fresh from her Love Island triumph, Toni Laites has revealed she has no plans to return to the United States, and is ready to build a new life in the UK.
The 26-year-old reality star, who scooped the £50,000 prize with her partner Cach Mercer, jetted straight to London after leaving the Majorcan villa, swapping sunny Spain for the British capital.
Before entering the show, Toni lived in Las Vegas, working as a pool waitress in the city’s exclusive day-party scene. But in an interview with The Sun, she admitted that lifestyle is firmly in her past.
“I am here in London for god-knows how long at this point,” Toni said. “I feel like I’m definitely gonna have to find somewhere to live. America is not for me at this point.”
The decision marks a major life change for the reality TV newcomer, who had previously never lived outside the US. She says the UK has already made her feel at home, even joking that she’s been “adopted” as an honorary Brit.
“Yes, I think so!” she smiled when asked if she felt embraced by UK fans.
