It’s heartbreak once again for Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who have reportedly split up for the second time.
The couple first found love on the seventh series of the ITV2 dating show back in 2021, capturing viewers’ hearts with their romance in the villa. Their connection proved to be one of the strongest that season, and the pair went on to be crowned the winners of the show, walking away with the £50,000 prize money and a relationship that fans thought would stand the test of time.
However, their love story has been anything but straightforward. The pair first called it quits in July 2022, with Millie confirming the split at the time, saying that despite still having “a lot of love and respect” for Liam, their relationship had come to an end. For fans, it was a devastating blow, but a year later, in 2023, the couple reignited their romance and gave things another go.
Their reunion was met with huge excitement from supporters, many of whom had continued to hope for a Millie and Liam comeback. Together, they even launched their joint project, The Liam and Millie Podcast, giving listeners a candid look into their relationship, lives, and experiences since leaving the villa.
But despite their efforts, the challenges of distance appear to have gotten in the way. Millie, 27, is based in Essex, while Liam, 25, has remained in Wales, with the couple maintaining a long-distance relationship since rekindling their romance. Friends of the pair have now confirmed that the strain of living apart has proved too much, and the pair have decided to go their separate ways once more.

“Millie and Liam gave it their best shot,” a pal revealed, “but being based in different parts of the country has made it really difficult for them to sustain a relationship. They’re both busy, they’ve got their own careers, and eventually it just became too hard to navigate.”
The news will come as a disappointment to many fans who saw the couple as one of Love Island’s rare long-term success stories. Their initial romance, split, and subsequent reunion were seen as a testament to how real connections could be formed on the show. But like many reality TV couples before them, the pressures of everyday life outside the villa have taken their toll.
Despite the breakup, Millie and Liam are said to remain on good terms. Their friendship, along with their podcasting venture, has allowed them to maintain a bond beyond romance. Whether they will continue with The Liam and Millie Podcast in light of this split remains to be seen, but fans will undoubtedly be watching closely for updates.
The couple’s on-off journey highlights the challenges of keeping reality TV romances alive in the real world, particularly when distance, careers, and personal growth get in the way. For Millie and Liam, their chapter as a couple may have closed for now, but both remain beloved figures in the Love Island community, and their fans will no doubt continue to support them as they move forward separately.
