Linkin Park are set to bring their signature sound to one of the world’s biggest sporting stages, as they’ve officially been confirmed to perform at this year’s UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show.
The iconic rock band will take to the pitch at Munich Football Arena on May 31, delivering a high-energy set of their greatest hits just moments before the final gets underway. The performance, presented by Pepsi, promises to blend the worlds of music and sport in epic style, marking a major moment not only for the band but for Champions League history.
In a surprise twist, the band has also remixed one of their most beloved tracks, Numb, especially for the event. The new version fuses the powerful guitar riffs of the original with fresh production inspired by the intensity, emotion, and atmosphere of Champions League football, creating what’s expected to be a pulse-pounding anthem for the big night.
“With our new album and ongoing tour, we’ve been overwhelmed by the fans’ energy and excitement,” the band said in a statement. “We can’t wait to share that same energy and excitement at the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show presented by Pepsi. This marks a totally new experience for us as a band, and we’re excited to share some of our favourite songs from the past and present, with the thousands in the crowd and millions watching around the world.”
