British rapper and spoken word powerhouse Loyle Carner is back, and he’s bringing a fresh perspective, a new album, and an expansive tour to match. The critically acclaimed artist has officially announced Hopefully!, his brand-new album set to land on June 20 via Island EMI, along with a world tour that promises to be his biggest yet.
The upcoming record marks Carner’s first full-length project since 2022’s Hugo, an introspective and sonically rich album that earned him his second Mercury Prize nomination and secured another Top Three spot on the UK Albums Chart. With Hopefully!, Carner is venturing even further into uncharted territory, both musically and emotionally.

Described as a “life-affirming exploration of fatherhood, childhood, and alternative music,” the album will see Carner step out from behind the mic in more ways than one. Not only will he be delivering his signature lyrical storytelling, but he’s also taken on production duties, and for the first time, he’s singing. The record, in his own words, is the result of “accidentally forming the band of his dreams.”
A preview of what’s to come has already arrived in the form of a double single, All I Need / In My Mind, giving fans an early taste of the album’s uplifting, experimental tone. True to its title, Hopefully! aims to spread positivity and openness, with Carner revealing more of his personal life than ever before, while simultaneously encouraging listeners to build healthier emotional boundaries.
And for fans itching to see him live, the wait won’t be long. Carner’s Hopefully! world tour will kick off this November with a run of back-to-back UK dates, including a four-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton from November 2 to 5. He’ll also bring his electrifying live show to Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Manchester, where he’s set to perform three consecutive nights at the O2 Victoria Warehouse.
