MOLLY-MAE HAGUE: TV STAR SOBS ON CAMERA

Molly-Mae Hague has tearfully addressed her followers in an emotional new vlog, after receiving backlash over her comments about not having “any fun” this summer, despite a string of luxury getaways.

The 25-year-old influencer and former Love Island star, who shares daughter Bambi with fiancé Tommy Fury, sparked outrage after complaining about a lack of enjoyment this season, telling fans she hasn’t “done one fun thing.” Critics were quick to point out that Molly-Mae has enjoyed holidays to Dubai, Budapest, and Disneyland Paris in recent months.

Now, in her latest YouTube upload, the star was seen sobbing in her car as she addressed the backlash and opened up on the real struggles of motherhood, describing toddler Bambi’s current phase as entering the “terrible twos.”

“I’m trying so, so hard to stay positive and have a really nice day,” Molly-Mae told viewers as Bambi sat in the back seat. “But I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you can see… every single thing is a huge problem. I can’t even get socks and shoes on.”

The influencer’s honesty struck a chord with some fans but also reignited criticism from those who labelled her “out of touch” and “moaning” about problems many working parents can only dream of having.

This isn’t the first time Molly-Mae has been hit with backlash. She previously made headlines after complaining about an £86,000 motorhome holiday to the Isle of Man with Tommy, calling the trip underwhelming. That comment also triggered a flood of negative responses online, particularly from fans struggling with the cost of living crisis.

In her latest vlog, Molly-Mae didn’t hold back. She addressed the criticism head-on, saying:

“I don’t care who tells me I’m out of touch with reality or all this stuff going on on TikTok… I’m not going to not talk about it.”

While she appeared defiant, she also admitted the experience had left her feeling “scared” to talk about controversial topics for fear of constant judgment online.

Once dubbed the UK's ultimate influencer mum, Molly-Mae has previously described herself as “selfish” and confessed that she feels “not cut out” for the everyday stresses of parenting. Her vulnerability has sparked a mixed response, some praising her honesty, others accusing her of using her platform to complain instead of connecting.

Despite the divide, the latest vlog highlights the challenges many social media stars face in navigating public motherhood. The pressure to be perfect, relatable, and aspirational all at once is beginning to take its toll.

Whether her honesty will win her back public sympathy or deepen the controversy remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain: Molly-Mae is not staying silent.
