Mis-Teeq Reunion on the Cards? Alesha Dixon Gives Fans Fresh Hope

It’s been nearly two decades since Mis-Teeq topped the charts with garage-pop anthems like Scandalous, All I Want, and One Night Stand, but fans now have a reason to get excited, a reunion may be on the horizon.

Speaking in a new interview, singer and TV presenter Alesha Dixon confirmed that talks of a comeback are further along than ever before.

When asked if there had been any progress on a long-discussed Mis-Teeq reunion, Alesha hinted:

“There might be. Well, next year is the 25th anniversary of Lickin’ On Both Sides, our debut album. Thinking doesn’t mean we are doing, but we’re thinking. Which is more than we’ve done.”

The group, which also featured Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash, were a defining sound of the early 2000s, blending UK garage with R&B to create a style and attitude all their own.

Originally forming in the late 1990s, Mis-Teeq released two hit albums (Lickin’ On Both Sides in 2001 and Eye Candy in 2003) and racked up seven consecutive Top 10 hits in the UK Singles Chart. They disbanded in 2005, shortly after their American breakthrough with Scandalous.

Since then, fans have longed for a reunion. Rumours have swirled every few years, but this is the first time any of the band members have openly acknowledged being in active discussions.

Alesha, who has carved out a hugely successful solo career and become a household name thanks to Britain’s Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, and The Greatest Dancer, has always said she’d be open to it, if the timing was right.

With 2026 marking 25 years since the debut album that launched them into stardom, it may finally be the perfect moment.

While nothing is confirmed yet, the mere suggestion has already lit up social media with excitement. Loyal fans, many of whom grew up with the band’s empowering lyrics and unforgettable beats, are eager to relive the glory days, this time, live and in person.
