RADIOHEAD ANNOUNCE FIRST TOUR IN SEVEN YEARS WITH UK AND EUROPEAN DATES

Radiohead have officially announced their long-anticipated return to live performance, unveiling their first tour dates in more than seven years. The run of shows will take place across Europe later this year, marking a major moment for fans who have waited patiently since the band’s last tour in 2018.

The new tour will kick off in Madrid this November and include four nights each in Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin. In total, the band will play 20 arena dates before the end of 2025.

Drummer Philip Selway explained the decision to get back on stage after such a lengthy pause, admitting that a series of informal rehearsals last year helped reignite the spark among the five bandmates. “Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it. After a seven-year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us,” Selway shared. “It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.”

For many fans, the announcement feels like the end of a long drought. Since their last tour, Radiohead members have pursued individual projects, including Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s side project The Smile, and Selway’s solo work. While rumours of a reunion have circulated for years, this is the first time the group has officially committed to returning as Radiohead.

The upcoming tour will see the band perform in some of Europe’s most iconic venues. The Madrid dates will be held at the Movistar Arena, before moving on to Italy’s Unipol Arena in Bologna, The O2 in London, Copenhagen’s Royal Arena, and finally, the Uber Arena in Berlin.

Tickets for the shows will not be available through traditional outlets. Instead, fans must register via Radiohead’s official website to gain access. Registration opens tomorrow at 10am, giving fans the opportunity to secure their chance at seeing the band live once more. Given Radiohead’s history of sell-out shows and their reputation as one of the most influential live acts of their generation, demand is expected to be extremely high.

For a band that has always walked the line between innovation and reinvention, this return to the stage is more than just a concert series, it’s a significant cultural event. With a discography spanning nine studio albums and a reputation for pushing the boundaries of rock music, Radiohead’s shows have consistently been hailed as transformative experiences

The big question now is whether this return to touring might also signal the possibility of new music in the future. For the moment, the band is keeping expectations grounded, suggesting that these 20 shows may be the only dates planned. But as Selway hinted, the door is open for more.

For Radiohead fans, November cannot come soon enough.
