The excitement is building for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 as two more celebrities have been confirmed for the new series.
YouTuber and podcaster George Clarke has been revealed as the sixth contestant heading to the ballroom this September when the hit BBC show returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Known for his engaging online content and loyal fanbase, Clarke will swap the recording studio for sequins as he takes on the cha-cha, foxtrot, and everything in between.
Just hours earlier, EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal was announced as the fifth contestant to join the line-up. The actress, best known for playing Suki Panesar on the BBC soap, was revealed live on Good Morning Britain yesterday morning.

Sharing her delight at joining the show, Balvinder said:
“Being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”
Balvinder’s character, Suki Panesar, has been at the centre of some of EastEnders’ most dramatic storylines in recent years, making her one of the soap’s most recognisable faces. Her addition to the Strictly cast is sure to bring both elegance and personality to the dancefloor.
George Clarke also expressed his excitement about being part of such a beloved British institution:
“I’ve grown up watching Strictly with my family and now I’m actually going to be on it, it’s surreal! I know it’s going to be hard work, but I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.”
