Former TOWIE star James Argent has found himself in serious legal trouble during a romantic getaway in Spain. The reality TV personality has admitted to pushing his girlfriend, Swedish model Nicoline Artursson, during a heated argument that took place at her apartment on the Costa del Sol.
According to reports from The Sun, the altercation escalated when Argent tried to forcibly remove Artursson from the property. The push led to Artursson falling down a flight of stairs, with her screams alarming neighbours who quickly contacted the authorities. Following the incident, Artursson required hospital treatment, though the full extent of her injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Spanish police swiftly responded to the call and arrested Argent on the scene. He was detained in police custody for several hours before being brought before a court in Fuengirola the same day. In a swift legal process, Argent admitted to a charge of domestic violence.
The court handed Argent a six-month suspended sentence and imposed a two-year restraining order, preventing him from contacting Artursson. Additionally, he has been ordered to complete a ‘resocialisation course in the field of gender violence’, a measure aimed at educating offenders about the impact of their actions and promoting responsible behaviour.
Insiders have claimed that the couple’s nine-month relationship is now over in light of the shocking incident.
