Insiders reveal that the Mission: Impossible star will be taking de Armas to the 78th Cannes Film Festival in just two weeks, where his latest action blockbuster Mission: Impossible, The Final Reckoning is set to premiere on May 14 at the prestigious Grand Théâtre Lumière. While it's still unconfirmed whether Ana will join Cruise on the red carpet, all eyes will be on Cannes to see if the couple makes their official debut.
Adding further intrigue to the blossoming relationship is the surprising approval from one of Cruise’s former flames. Penélope Cruz, who dated Tom from 2001 to 2004, is reportedly supportive of the romance. A source told the Daily Mail, “Ana has said that Penélope is happy for her, she approves. They know each other from the movie world and also have mutual friends in Madrid from when Ana lived there.”
The insider added that Ana feels a sense of comfort and protection with Cruise, something she’s been seeking since her move out of Los Angeles. “Tom makes Ana feel safe and that is very important to her,” they said. “She was flipped out by the fans and stalkers when living in Venice Beach, so she moved to a remote part of Vermont.”
